At HoopFrog Inc., we are a small team with big ambitions. We are building a family of connection-focused platforms, starting with HoopFrog, and we need talented, passionate people to help us get there. Who We Are
HoopFrog Inc. is a Canadian technology company based in St. Albert, Alberta, founded in 2023. We build HoopFrog and a growing family of connection platforms. We are engineers, designers, and safety professionals who believe technology should bring people together respectfully and meaningfully.
We are small by choice. Every person on our team has a direct impact on the product, the culture, and the direction of the company. There are no layers of middle management between you and the work that matters.

- Remote-First: We believe great work happens where you are most productive. Our team is distributed globally, and we are open to remote candidates from anywhere. We use asynchronous communication as our default and respect everyone's time and focus.

- Safety Is Everyone's Job: User safety is not just the moderation team's responsibility. From engineering to design to customer support, every team member is expected to think about how their work affects user safety. It is part of how we review code, design features, and make decisions.

What We Are Looking For
We are always interested in hearing from talented people who are passionate about any of the following areas:
- Mobile Development: We build native iOS and Android apps with a modern cross-platform framework. If you love crafting beautiful, performant mobile experiences, we want to talk.
- Backend Engineering: Our API layer is built on a modern, security-focused server-side framework. We need engineers who care about security, performance, and clean architecture.
- Frontend Development: Clean, lightweight HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, no bloated frameworks. If you can build fast, accessible, beautiful interfaces without a 200MB node_modules folder, you are our kind of developer.
- UX and Product Design: We need designers who understand Gen-Z aesthetics, accessibility, and the unique challenges of designing for dating and connection.
- Data Science and Machine Learning: Compatibility scoring, content moderation, fraud detection, there is no shortage of meaningful ML problems to solve in the dating space.
- Content Moderation and Trust & Safety: Keeping our community safe requires thoughtful, empathetic people who can handle sensitive content and make sound judgment calls under pressure.
- Marketing and Growth: We need creative marketers who understand how to grow a community authentically, without resorting to dark patterns or manipulative tactics.
- Customer Support: Empathetic communicators who can help our users navigate the platform, resolve issues, and feel heard.
